NZ Alpine Lavender Farm

NZ Alpine Lavender farm is one of the southern hemisphere's largest certified organic lavender farm and it is pretty cool!
If you are heading up the Hooker Valley to check out Aorika/Mt Cook then why not make the time to stop and check out the Alpine Lavender farm along the way.
We found to make the most of the experience it is a good idea to have a read of the history on the lavender farm on their website.
You can find out all about how the prepped the field for planting, how they plant and grow the lavender, and even their mission, this makes the experience even better.

With a small entry fee you get access to the lavender fields, once in you can stroll among the flowers and explore. Take as many photos as you like in the lavender fields – they had a neat purple tractor and some cute seats to check out as well.

We tried the lavender flavored ice cream while we were there – all I can say is it’s an interesting flavor, I think the blue berry one was more to my taste buds.
We can now say we have ticked off visiting a lavender farm from our to do list.
